Silverstein are a Canadian rock band from Burlington, Ontario, formed in 2000. Their band name refers to famous child author Shel Silverstein, whom the band admired and read from childhood stories. They released a total of ten studio albums, four EPs, a compilation album and a live DVD / CD. Their roster has remained unchanged for 11 years since December 2001, comprising lead singer Shane Told, lead guitarist Neil Boshart, rhythm guitarist Josh Bradford, bassist Billy Hamilton and drummer Paul Koehler. In September 2012, the group announced that Neil Boshart had been fired and will be replaced by Paul Marc Rousseau, who also joined Billy Hamilton as an accompanist. The group achieved moderate success with their second studio album, Discovery the Waterfront, which was nominated for the Juno Awards and reached number 34 on the Billboard 200, with the following two albums in similar positions.
