Peter Frankl is a Hungarian-born British pianist. He performed mainly music from classical period, romantic period and early modern period. His recordings include all solo piano music by Debussy and Schumann. After studying at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, Frankl won several piano competitions at the end of the 1950s. He gave his first concert in London in 1962 and performed for the first time. In New York in 1967 when he performed with the Cleveland Orchestra under the direction of George Szell. He also studied with Maria Curcio, Artur Schnabel's last favorite pupil. Since then he has performed as a soloist with many other orchestras and conductors. He has been invited to many international festivals, such as Britten's piano concerto with the composer and conductor at the Edinburgh International Festival. Frankl's repertoire also includes chamber music.
