Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex is the youngest child of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. At birth, he was third to the British throne; He is currently ranked 12th in the row. Born in Buckingham Palace, Edward attended Heatherdown School and earned an A level at Gordonstoun before spending part of his time teaching for a year at university in New Zealand. He graduated from Jesus College, Cambridge University in 1989 with a BA in History. After briefly joining the Royal Marines, Edward worked as a theater production assistant at The Really Helpful Theater Company before helping with drama production, then setting up his own company, Ardent Productions. The Count left the company in 2002 to begin full-time duties as an active member of the Royal Family and fulfill commitments on behalf of the Queen.
