Ronald Edward Santo was the third American Major Baseball basketball player, who played for the Chicago Cubs between 1960 and 1973 and the Chicago White Sox in 1974. In 1990 Santo joined the radio group. . The Cubs commented on the Cubs. matches on WGN and remained in that position until his death in 2010. In 1999, he was drafted to the Cubs All-Century team. He was inducted into the National Baseball Fame Hall in 2012. Santo grew up in southeast Seattle, attended Franklin High School, and played youth baseball which recently took place in the Babe Ruth League. He grew up near Sicks Stadium, home of the Seattle Rainiers of the Pacific Coast League, and held summer jobs there as a drummer, pitcher and club server, while playing three sports in high school. At the age of 14, he joined the All Star Babe Ruth team in Seattle, Washington, which advanced to the Babe Ruth World Series in 1954
