Mehta started acting in theatrical productions while in college, then ventured into television roles, making her screen debut in 2009 with the 12 / .24 film Karol Bagh by Zee TV. Colors TV's drama Phulwa marked a turning point in her career, receiving critical acclaim. Mehta received praise for her supporting roles in the 2009 Karol Bagh 12/24 series and the 2013 Balika Vadhu series. She also hosts the dance reality show Boogie Woogie Kids Championship.
