Townsend Harris High School at Queens College is a public magnet high school for the humanities in the borough of Queens in New York City. Students and alumni often refer to themselves as "Harrisites." Townsend Harris consistently ranks as among the top 100 high schools in the United States. In 2020, U.S. News and World Report ranked THHS at #1 in New York City, #1 in New York State and #5 in the nation.

Achievement of Townsend Harris High School
The original incarnation of the school was shut down in 1942 by mayor Fiorello La Guardia due to budgetary reasons. It was refounded in 1984 thanks largely to original school alumni.
