Kelly Anne McCormick is a retired diver from the United States. She has twice competed for her hometown at the Summer Olympics, winning silver and bronze medals in the women's 3m pedal event. Kelly is the daughter of famous diving champion Pat McCormick and diving trainer Glenn McCormick. Raised in Rossmoor, Calif. During the 1960s and 1970s, Kelly's first sport was gymnastics, and by the age of 13 she was an elite gymnast on the same team as gymnast Cathy Rigby. Kelly attended Los Alamitos High School, where she started "playing" with scuba diving and then attended Ohio University to be coached by Vince Panzanno. By 1981 she was part of the national team and over the next ten years she had become a major figure of international status. In 1982, Kelly won the first of 9 national championships and the 3m pedal championship from the Women's Inter-school Athletics Association.
