Holiday played professionally for Kansas City FC in the Women's National Football Championship and the Boston Breakers in the Women's Professional Football Championship. She plays college football for the UCLA Bruins. Holiday won gold with the national team at the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics, the 2012 London Summer Olympics and the 2015 Women's World Cup in Canada. She played for the team at the 2011 Women's World Championship, where the United States finished in second place and Holiday was named to the tournament's All-Star squad. In 2007, she was named the United States Young Footballer of the Year. She won the American Footballer of the Year award in 2014.
