General Matthew Bunker Ridgway is a senior officer in the United States Army, former commander of Supreme Allied Europe and the 19th Chief of Staff of the United States Army. He fought very well during World War II, where he was commander of the 82nd Airborne Division, commanding this force in Sicily, Italy and Normandy, before taking command of the brand new Airborne Corps created in August 1944.
