Patrick Francis Marsden is a Canadian sports presenter and speaker of the Canadian Football League's match-to-match coverage in the 1970s and 1980s. He is also the host of historic sports broadcasts of the Canada-Vietnam Alliance Hockey Summit series in 1972. He was inducted into the Canadian Football Fame Hall in 1989. Marsden was born in Ottawa and attended St. John's High School. Patrick's and the University of Ottawa where he started his career as a sports announcer at local station CKOY. Subsequently, he became the sporting director of the OTFC in Toronto and immersed himself in all local and national sporting events. He even appeared as "John Marsden" in an episode of Weird, during a Super Dave Osborne stunt at the CN Tower in Toronto. Laid off in 1986 after a physical conflict with his boss Ted Stuebing, Marsden was later hired by his CTV football broadcast partner Bill Stephenson at CFRB, TSN, then surfaced at Fan 590
