Paul De Leeuw
Paul Henri de Leeuw is a Dutch comedian, singer and television actor. De Leeuw gained national popularity in the late eighties and early nineties with television shows for VARA TV company. Although the satire is only a part of those shows and much of his humor is essentially harmless, he did engage in the commercial with the sarcasm of the business characters in the show Dutch images are often ridiculed. Little-known musical performances were featured on his shows, many of which gained national fame after joining De Leeuw's show. VARA has since continued its shows with a few interruptions, often with considerable success. In the early 90s, De Leeuw also put on New Year shows. During the 1993-1994 broadcast, he satirized the new commercial channel RTL 5 by announcing another new station, "RTL 6". This led to a lawsuit by RTL company, asking De Leeuw to withdraw his joke. He and his husband, Stephan Nugter, adopted two children: his son Kas and his son Tobey.
