Peter Louis Vincent de Freitas is an English musician and producer. He was the drummer on Echo & the Bunnymen, and performed in their first five albums. De Freitas was born in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, and educated by Benedictines at the Downside School in Somerset, South West England. His father, Denis, is a copyright lawyer. He joined the Bunnymen in 1979, replacing a drum machine. Bunnymen frontman Ian McCulloch said they told him "stuck in the toms.
