Salma Agha is a British Pakistani-born actress and singer, who sang and acted in Pakistani and Indian films during the 1980s and early 1990s. She was born in Karachi and raised in London. where she has received several film awards from Indian directors. Her first film was the romance story Nikaah, in which she played the female lead and also sang some of the songs from the movie herself. She was nominated for a Filmfare Award that year for both Best Actress and Best Actress Again. It was thanks to her singing that she won the Filmfare Best Actress award. She is also known for her role in Kasam Paida Karne Wale Ki opposite Mithun Chakraborty, and for the song "Come Closer" in the same movie.
