Mark Phillip Hertling is a former US Army officer. From March 2011 to November 2012, he served as Commander-in-Chief of the European United States Army and the 7th Army Corps. Hertling held the positions of armor, cavalry, planning and operations. And the training and command of all organizations from the platoon to the Field Service. He commanded the 1st Armored Division and the Iron / Multinational Division-North Special Forces in Iraq during a military rally from 2007 to 2008. After retiring from the military, Hertling became the group's senior vice president. to [[Orlando]} from 2013-2018. During his time here, he built a physician leadership development course for this institution. In 2016, he also published the book Growing up a leading doctor. Since 2018, he has taught leadership courses at a number of medical institutions around the country, while giving a speech on leadership and national security to a multitude of audiences.

After serving as the Commanding General of the United States Army Europe and the Seventh Army, he retired in 2012. He was the commander of the 1st Armored Division and Task Force Iron-Multinational Division-North in Iraq from 2007 to 2008.
