Ara Abrahamian
Ara Abrahamian is an Armenian-Swedish Greek-Roman wrestler. He has won two world championships in the 76 kg and 84 kg weight class and a silver medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in the 84 kg class. He also won a bronze medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics, but was denied the medal due to a controversial decision in the semi-final. During the widely publicized medal ceremony, Abrahamian protested by placing the medal in the center of the carpet and walking away. He was then disqualified by the International Olympic Committee and stripped of his bronze medal for disrupting the awards ceremony. This led to him receiving a lifetime ban from the Olympics. He was also banned from wrestling by FILA for two years, but the ban was overturned by the Court of Arbitration for Sport in March 2009
