He played 16 seasons in the Major League Baseball tournament for the Detroit Tigers, New York Yankees, New York Mets, Los Angeles Dodgers, Toronto Blue Jays, Milwaukee Brewers and Marlins from Miami. Granderson played varsity baseball at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He was selected by the Tigers in the 2002 MLB Draft. He made his MLB debut against the Tigers in 2004.
