Martin Austin Ruane is a British professional wrestler. Better known by the stage name Giant Haystacks, he was one of the most famous wrestlers in British wrestling in the 1970s and 1980s. He also worked in Canada and the United States under the name "The Monster . The “Loch Ness” or simply “Loch Ness.” Ruane is known for his enormous physical size, advertised as being 6 feet 11 inches tall and weighing from 31 at the start of his career to 48 at the end of his career; he weighs 49 stones 13 lbs. In the 1970s he formed a heel team with Big Daddy, then had an enduring feud with Big Daddy when the team disbanded. During his career he organized the European Heavyweight Championship and the British Heavyweight Championship in the UK, and has won the Stampede International Tag Team twice in Canada, with Dynamite Kid and Bret Hart.
