She has been awarded the Booker Prize twice, the first for the 2009 novel Wolf Hall, a fictitious account of Thomas Cromwell's coming to power at Henry VIII's court, and the second for the novel Bring Up. agencies 2012, second part of the Cromwell Trilogy. Mantel was the first woman to receive the award twice, following in the footsteps of J. M. Coetzee, Peter Carey and J. G. Farrell. The third installment of the trilogy, The Mirror and the Light, was released on March 5, 2020 in the UK and July after that was shortlisted for the 2020 Booker Awards .
