Laszlo Moholy-Nagy
László Moholy-Nagy is a Hungarian painter and photographer and professor at the Bauhaus. He is heavily influenced by constructivism and is a strong advocate of integrating technology and industry into art. Art critic Peter Schjeldahl calls it "non-stop experimentation" for its pioneering work in painting, painting, photography, collage, sculpture, film, theater and writing. He also collaborated with other artists, including his first wife Lucia Moholy, Walter Gropius, Marcel Breuer and Herbert Bayer. Perhaps his greatest achievement was the Chicago School of Design, which exists today as part of the Illinois Institute of Technology, which art historian Elizabeth Siegel calls "her original work of art". He has also written books and articles in favor of an utterly high kind of modernism.
