Steven Lee Lukather is an American guitarist, singer, songwriter, songwriter and record producer best known as the only continuing founding member of the rock group Toto from its founding in 1976 until today. An outstanding musician, Lukather has recorded guitar tracks on over 1,500 albums representing a wide range of artists and genres. He has also contributed to successful albums and singles as a musician, choreographer and producer. Most notably, Lukather has played guitar on Boz Scaggs' Down Two Then Left and Middle Man, and is a leading contributor to several Michael Jackson studio albums, including Thriller. Lukather has released eight solo albums, the last one, I Found the Sun Again, was released in February 2021. In 1976, when Lukather was nineteen, he was invited by high school friends David Paich and brothers. Porcaro Steve and Jeff. to join them in forming their group, Toto.
