Arve Isdal, auch bekannt als Ice Dale, ist ein norwegischer Musiker und Produzent. Er ist als Gitarrist der Progressive-Black-Metal-Band Enslaved bekannt. Er ist in der norwegischen Metal-Szene als Mitglied mehrerer Bands und als Session-Player für andere sehr aktiv. Nachdem Tom Cato Visnes die Hardrockband Audrey Horne verlassen hatte, spielte Isdal auf seinem zweiten Album Le Fol Bass und trat weiterhin mit der Band auf. Er ist Teil der Death/Black-Metal-Band Trinacria, zu der auch Mitglieder von Enslaved und der lauten Band Fe-Mail gehören; und ein neues Projekt mit dem Immortal-Gitarristen Harald Nævdal gegründet. Er war auch Gitarrist für Ov Hell und lieh einer Figur aus Metalocalypse in der Episode "Dethmas" seine Stimme. Als Ice Dale ist er Mitglied der Hardrock-Band Bourbon Flame. Isdal ist von Gitarristen wie Slash, David Gilmour, John Frusciante, Trey Spruance, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck und The Edge nach seinem Myspace inspiriert.
