Arve Isdal, ook wel bekend als Ice Dale, is een Noorse muzikant en producer. Hij staat bekend als de gitarist van de progressieve black metalband Enslaved. Hij is zeer actief in de Noorse metalscene als lid van verschillende bands en als sessiespeler voor anderen. Nadat Tom Cato Visnes de hardrockband Audrey Horne had verlaten, speelde Isdal bas op zijn tweede album Le Fol en bleef optreden met de band. Hij maakt deel uit van de death/black metal band Trinacria, met onder meer leden van Enslaved en de luide band Fe-Mail; en een nieuw project gevormd met Immortal-gitarist Harald Nævdal. Hij was ook een gitarist voor Ov Hell en leende zijn stem aan een personage uit Metalocalypse in de aflevering "Dethmas". Als Ice Dale is hij lid van de hardrockband Bourbon Flame. Isdal laat zich volgens zijn Myspace inspireren door gitaristen als Slash, David Gilmour, John Frusciante, Trey Spruance, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck en The Edge.
