Arve Isdal, also known as Ice Dale, is a Norwegian musician and producer. He is known as the guitarist of the progressive black metal band Enslaved. He is very active on the Norwegian metal scene as a member of several bands and as session player for others. After Tom Cato Visnes left hard rock band Audrey Horne, Isdal performed bass on his second album Le Fol and continued to perform with the band. He is part of the death / black metal band Trinacria, which includes members of Enslaved and the loud band Fe-Mail; and a new project formed with Immortal guitarist Harald Nævdal. He was also a guitarist for Ov Hell and lent his voice to a character from Metalocalypse in the episode "Dethmas". As Ice Dale, he is a member of the hard-rock band Bourbon Flame. Isdal is inspired by guitarists like Slash, David Gilmour, John Frusciante, Trey Spruance, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck and The Edge according to his Myspace.
