Danny Miles is a retired American basketball coach. He was the head coach of men's basketball at the Oregon Institute of Technology for 45 years from 1971 to 2016. Miles led Hustlin 'Owls to three NAIA Division II national championships. He won his 1,000th victory on February 1, 2014, in his 43rd year as an ILO coach. It is the fourth greatest success among college men's basketball coaches of all time. Other coaches from a four-year-old school with 1,000 or more wins are McKendree University coach Harry Statham, Duke University coach Mike Krzyzewski, and University of Philadelphia coach Herb Magee. On March 29, 2018, Miles was named to the National College Basketball Fame Hall.
