François Henning, better known by his stage name Snotkop [ˈsnɔtkɔp], and formerly known as Lekgoa [ləkˈχo̯a], is an Afrikaans singer and rapper. He began his musical career at the age of 15 preparing demo CDs, and in the late 1990s he took on the stage name Lekgoa while singing in the South African musical genre of kwaito. During this period, he signed with the Gallo label, releasing two albums; Basetsana in 1999 and Ngamla Yoba in 2002. In 2005, he took the name Snotkop, who was originally part of a boy group of 4 musicians, and soon after, he signed a solo contract with the label. Next Music and released their first album. of the same name in 2005, followed by Snotkop with So Dam Sexy in 2008 and François Henning Was Hier in 2009. With the release of Ek Laaik Van Jol in 2012, he became one of the male artists.
