Internationally renowned artists such as Nana Mouskouri, Ornella Vanoni, Katia Guerreiro, Rosario Flores contributed to the songs and lyrics of Martinho. As a singer, he is considered by critics to be one of the best samba performers to live with. Among his international collaborations, some notable names are Zeca Pagodinho, Arlindo Cruz, Chico Buarque, Beth Carvalho, Noel Rosa, Alcione, among others.
