John Matthew Stover is a former American football consultant who played for the National Football Association for 20 seasons, primarily with the Baltimore Ravens. After five seasons playing for the Cleveland Browns, he was one of the Browns players transferred to the new Ravens franchise in 1996, having played 13 seasons. Additionally, Stover was a member of the New York Giants in his first season and the Indianapolis Colts in his final season. His most successful season came in 2000 when he won the Pro Bowl and the first All-Pro tag team title on his way to Team Raven to win his first Super Bowl title in Super Bowl XXXV. He is also a member of the Giants team that won the Super Bowl XXV. Because of his achievements with Raven, Stover was named for the Baltimore Raven Ring of Honor in 2011 .
