Peter H. Duesberg is a German-American molecular biologist and professor of molecular and cellular biology at the University of California, Berkeley. He is known for his early research into the genetic aspects of cancer. He is an advocate of the claim that HIV does not cause AIDS. Duesberg was recognized early in his career for research in cancer and cancer. With Peter K. Vogt, he reported in 1970 that a bird-causing virus has additional genetic material compared to a non-carcinogenic virus, hypothesizing that this material contributes to cancer. . At the age of 36, Duesberg was officially appointed to the University of California at Berkeley and at the age of 49, he was elected to the National Academy of Sciences.
