Scott Charles Maddox is an American politician. He was mayor of Tallahassee, Florida, from 1995 to 1996 and from 1997 to 2005. Maddox is a former Chairman of the Florida Democratic Party and former Tallahassee City Commissioner, serving from 1993 to 1995, 1996 to 1997, and 2012 to 2018. Maddox was indicted on December 12, 2018 with 44 counts. Reputation, including fraud, corruption, extortion, bank fraud and wire fraud, in an FBI corruption investigation that played a key role in Florida host Andrew Gillum's Democratic presidential campaign. Maddox was suspended by the Tallahassee Municipal Commission following the indictment, then replaced after the committee's appointment Elaine W. Bryant, Ph.D. as of December 31, 2018
