Andrew Barry Casson Gaze, AM is an Australian former professional basketball player and coach. He played 22 seasons at the National Basketball Tournament with the Melbourne Tigers from 1984 to 2005, winning the tournament's MVP title seven times and a scoring title 14 times. He also guided Tigers to two NBL championships, 1993 and 1997, and was named a member of the All-NBL First Division Team with a record 15 consecutive years. Gaze is described as one of the greatest footballers Australia has ever produced. Gaze has led the senior Australian national team, Boomers, to the five Summer Olympics - including as flag bearer at the 2000 Sydney Olympics Opening Ceremony, and he is also the captain of the Australian team. He was inducted into the Australian Basketball Hall of Fame in 2004 and the Australian Sports Hall of Fame in 2005, after becoming a Member of the Order of Australia in 2002 .
