Theodora Elisabeth Gerarda "Anky" van Grunsven is the Dutch athlete's champion, being the only runner to have won three consecutive Olympic victories in the same tournament. Along with her Olympic success, she has won numerous medals at the World Olympic Riding Games and is the only female runner to have participated in all WEG tournaments since their inception in 1990. From five years 1990 to 2006, she competed in the Games Olympic outfit, but in In 2010 she was named a member of the Dutch team, which marked a big change of discipline. In addition to successes at the Olympics and the World Equestrian Olympics, van Grunsven also holds the record for most dressage World Cup victories, winning the event nine times between 1995 and 2008. She has also competed several times in the European Apparel Championship, winning seven individual medals and eight team medals between 1991 and 2009. Although van Grunsven has ridden many horses during her career, She has won most of her best events on two horses: Bonfire and Salinero.
