Carolina Evelyn Klüft is a retired Swedish athlete who has competed in triathlons, triathlons, long jump and five triathlons. She is an Olympic champion, having won the triathlon title in 2004. She is also triennial world champion and two-time European triathlon champion. She is the only athlete to have won three consecutive world titles in triathlon and is unbeaten in 22 triathlons and five triathlons between 2002 and 2007, winning nine consecutive gold medals in major championships. Klüft made his name for the first time when he won the triathlon at the 2002 European Championship and set a new teen world record with 6,542 points. She went on to win the world championship in 2003, becoming the third athlete to score more than 7,000 points. She holds the European triathlon record with an individual record of 7,032 points. This score makes her second on the all-time scoring list for triathlon, behind Jackie Joyner-Kersee, who set a world record with 7,291 points.
