David Gordon Green is an American filmmaker. He directed the dramas George Washington, All the Real Girls, and Snow Angels, as well as the thriller Undertow, all of which he wrote or co-wrote. In 2008, Green transitioned into comedy, directing the films Pineapple Express, Your Highness and The Sitter. He returned to his dramatic roots with the independent films Prince Avalanche and Joe, followed by the films Manglehorn, Our Brand Is Crisis, and Stronger. Green also directed the slasher film Halloween, which he co-wrote with frequent collaborator Danny McBride. He is also set to direct the next two installments of the franchise. Green also directed episodes of the acclaimed comedy series Eastbound & Down, Red Oaks, Vice Principals, and The Righteous Gemstones, on all of which he additionally served as executive producer.
