He wrote the script and starred in Straight Time, Runaway Train and Animal Factory. He also played a small role in Reservoir Dogs. He started running away from home at the age of 5 and developed an offense, first convicted at the age of fourteen, leading to a cycle of imprisonment, parole, recidivism and more jail time. He was convicted of bank robbery, drug trafficking, blackmail, armed robbery and forgery. Bunker was last released from prison in 1975, after which he focused on his career as a writer and actor.
