John Cornyn III is an American politician and lawyer, serving as the chief US Senator from Texas since 2002. He was a Senate Majority Republican Senator in the Senate for the 114th and 115th Congress. Cornyn also served as chair of the Republican National Senate Committee from 2007 to 2011. Born in Houston, Cornyn graduated from Trinity College and St. University's School of Law. Mary also holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Virginia. He was a judge in the 37th District of Texas from 1985 to 1991. He was elected an associate judge of the Supreme Court of Texas, where he served from 1991 to 1997. In 1998, Cornyn was elected Minister. Texas Justice, served a previous term of gaining victory. to the US Senate in 2002. He was re-elected in 2008, 2014, and 2020.
