Arthur Tatum Jr. is an American jazz pianist who is widely regarded as one of the greatest artists in his field. From the very beginning of his career, Tatum's technical prowess has been regarded as extraordinary by his fellow musicians. Many pianists tried to copy it; others questioned their skills after meeting him, and some even swapped instruments in response. In addition to being highly regarded for his skillful technique, Tatum has extended the vocabulary and limitations of jazz piano far beyond its original influences, and established new ground in jazz through its use. Use creatively between vocal, vocal and biphonic recompilation. Tatum grew up in Toledo, Ohio, where he started playing professional piano and had his own radio show, broadcast across the country, when he was still a teenager. He left Toledo in 1932 and resided as a solo pianist in clubs in major urban centers such as New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.
