Brandon Anthony Micah Bernard is an American convicted of the theft, kidnapping and murder of Todd and Stacie Bagley in 1999. He was sentenced to death for murders and remained executed until he was executed in December 2020. Bernard spent most of his childhood in Killeen, Texas. As a teenager, he started committing crimes like stealing and joining a neighborhood gang. His crimes and rebellious behavior led to him being expelled from several schools and prosecuted by the juvenile criminal justice system. In 1999, Bernard and four teenage co-accomplices robbed, kidnapped and murdered two young pastors. After forcing the pastors into the trunk of their car, an accomplice, Christopher André Vialva, shot the two in the head before Bernard burned the car. Vialva was executed on September 24, 2020 and Bernard executed on December 10, 2020. The remaining three teenagers were sentenced to different prison sentences; we are still in detention.
