Ellen Marijn Hoog is a Dutch field hockey player. She became a member of the national team in 2004 and has since made 127 appearances, scoring 32 goals. She won the 2008 and 2012 Olympic gold medals and a silver medal in 2016. She is a member of the Amsterdamsche Hockey & Band Club. In August 2005, she became the European Champion in Dublin. In December of the same year, she won the Cup in Canberra with the Dutch Women's National Team. She is also a member of the Dutch team that won the 2006 women's hockey World Cup. In 2012, Hoog became the first player to decide on a major championship match with a penalty shootout, winning won the 2012 Summer Olympics semi-final against New Zealand. She repeated that feat in 2016 when she landed the decisive shot in the semifinals of the 2016 Summer Olympics against Germany.
