Eric Faulkner is a guitarist, musician and singer, best known as a member of the Scottish pop group, Bay City Rollers. Faulkner was born at the Royal Hospital of Edinburgh, Edinburgh, Scotland. As a young man he learned to play viola and spent some time playing in a young orchestra. He also plays the violin, mandolin, bass and keyboard. He attended Liberton High School, Edinburgh Faulkner joined Bay City Rollers in 1972 as a guitarist, after a stint with the KIP band. Faulkner was a member of the Rollers during its existence until the 1980s. He co-wrote more than half of the recorded Rollerblades catalog, including UK Singles Chart hits "Money Honey" and "Love Me. Like I Love You". In 1976, while at the height of rollerblading, Faulkner caused a stir with accusations of trying to kill himself by overdosing on sleeping pills.
