Evan Marcel Turner is an American professional basketball coach and former player as assistant coach of the Boston Celtics National Basketball Association. In his ten seasons as an NBA player, before that, Turner had played as a guard, goalie and small positions. He was ranked second overall by the Philadelphia 76ers in NBA Draft 2010. In 2010, Turner was the first-place team in the United States and the National Player of the Year, playing at Ohio State University; he has also been twice as the goalscoring champion and Big Ten Conference Player of the Year. He was twice the only person unanimously selected by the coaches and media for the first All-Big Ten team. Completing first in terms of stats and second in two rebounds and conference assists in the 2009-10 season, he was the first male basketball player to finish second in each of those categories. and be the first to finish in the first five of each in the same season.
