Hanna-Maria Hintsa is a Finnish freestyle swimmer who won the world championship in 100m freestyle at the 2003 Underwater World Championship in Barcelona, Spain. Hanna-Maria started swimming at the age of 5 and was a member of the Finnish national youth team when she was 10 years old. In 1999, she won a bronze medal at the European Children's Championship in the 50m freestyle event. To date, she has broken 100 Finnish national records. The director of Hanna-Maria is the Finnish Sports Authority, SportElite.
