James Harold Wilson, Baron Wilson of Rievaulx, is an English politician who served as Prime Minister of Great Britain twice, from October 1964 to June 1970, and then from March 1974 to May. 4 years 1976. Wilson has been the leader of the Labor Party since 1963. to 1976, and as a MP from 1945 to 1983. Born in Huddersfield, Yorkshire, to a family of political activists, Wilson won a scholarship to attend Royds Hall Grammar School and continue to study history. Modern art at Jesus Oxford College. He was subsequently a lecturer in economic history at New College, Oxford, and a researcher at University College, Oxford. Elected to Congress in 1945 for the seat of Ormskirk, Wilson was immediately appointed to the Attlee government as parliamentary secretary; he became Minister of Foreign Trade in 1947 and was appointed to Cabinet shortly after as Chairman of the Trade Council. In 1950 he moved to represent Huyton's neighboring chair.
