Jack Hartman is an American football player and basketball coach. Hartman played basketball and football at Oklahoma State University with his basketball tutoring under the direction of famous trainer Henry Iba. After college, he played a midfield role in the CFL before moving on to coaching basketball. After leading the Coffeyville Junior University basketball team to the NJCAA National Championship with a 32-0 season in 1962, he committed his high octane crime at the University of the South. of Illinois, replacing successful Harry Gallatin, who took over as coach of the St Louis Hawks. In 1967, for the NCAA Division II tournament to pass after two consecutive second places, Hartman Salukis won the NIT Championship, which is much more popular than it is today.
