Joshua Treadwell McCown is an American football midfielder for the Houston Texans of the National Football Federation. He attended Jacksonville High School in Jacksonville, Texas, where he was named East Texas Player of the Year and won the prestigious Statewide Mention title as a senior. McCown then played three college seasons for the Southern Methodist University Mustangs, where he totaled 4,022 yards, 27 taps and 34 interceptions. He then played his final season in college for the Bearkats team at Sam Houston State University. In his only season with the Bearkats, he threw 3,481 yards, 32 touches and 12 interceptions, winning the Southland Football Federation Player of the Year award and the Third Division. McCown was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the third round of the 2002 NFL Draft and played for them for four seasons.
