Katherine Dee Strickland is an American actress. She is known for her role as Charlotte King in the ABC television series Private Practice. Strickland started playing in high school. She studied theater in Philadelphia and New York, where she received most of the minor roles in film, television and theater projects, among them The Sixth Sense. Her participation in the 2003 Hollywood films Anything Else and Something's Gotta Give led to her receiving key roles in the 2004 horror films Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid and The Grudge. She was later considered "Patterson's Pride" and "The Last Howling Queen" of the horror genre, although her performances in both films received a lot of criticism. In 2005, she received positive reviews from critics for the romantic comedy Fever Pitch, and was a regular guest on The Wedding Bells TV show in 2007. She was later added to the cast by Private Practice.
