Manolo Sanlúcar was a flamenco composer and guitarist born in Sanlúcar de Barrameda in 1943. He is considered one of the most important Spanish composers of the present time, and together with Paco de Lucía Tomatito and Vicente Amigo, one of the main characters in the development of the flamenco guitar in recent years. His first mentor was his father, Isidro Sanlúcar, an old-fashioned baker and guitarist who often returned home to lovers of the canteen and games; from childhood, he has been especially adept at following her. His brothers chose similar careers, among them Isidro. He soon began to do research and realized that the instrument had endless possibilities that were almost undiscovered.
