Fujiko Fujio is the pseudonym of a comic book duo founded by two Japanese manga. Their real names are Hiroshi Fujimoto and Motoo Abiko. They formed a partnership in 1951 and used the name Fujiko Fujio from 1954 until the company was dissolved in 1987. From the start, they adopted a cooperative style in which the two worked simultaneously on the story and works of art, but by differentiating their creations, they begin to liberate individuals operating under different names, Abiko like Fujiko A. Fujio and Fujimoto like Fujiko F. Fujio. Over the course of their careers, they have won numerous individual and collaborative awards, and are also known to have created the popular longtime series Doraemon, the main character officially recognized as the cultural icon of modern Japan. Some of the influences on most of their projects are the works of the famous comic book Osamu Tezuka and many American cartoons and comics, including the works of Hanna-Barbera.
