Nancy Harkness Love, born Hannah Lincoln Harkness, was an American pilot and commander during World War II. She obtained her pilot's license when she was 16 years old. She worked as a test pilot and race car driver in the 1930s. During World War II, she persuaded William H. Tunner to form a group of female pilots who fly planes from the factory to the air base. This proposal was eventually approved as a female ferry squadron. Love commanded this unit and subsequently all ferry operations in the newly trained Air Force service pilots. She was awarded the Air Force Medal for her wartime work and was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Air Force Reserve in 1948
