Paul Jewell is a former English football player and coach who is currently the football director of Swindon Town. Jewell started his playing career with Liverpool, continued at Wigan Athletic and ended a ten-year term with Bradford City, in addition to a short loan spell with Grimsby Town. After his playing career ended, he became a member of the Bradford City coaching staff. Jewell was appointed manager in 1998 and brought Man City to the Premier League before stepping down and becoming Sheffield manager on Wednesday. He returned to Wigan Athletic for his second promotion to the Premier League, but resigned the day after continuing to maintain them in the 2006-07 season. He then moved to Derby County on November 28, 2007, before resigning 13 months later. He was appointed director of Ipswich Town in January 2011, but left after an unsuccessful dynasty in October 2012.
