Peter Malcolm de Brissac Dickinson OBE FRSL is an English author and poet, best known for his children's books and detective novels. Dickinson won the Library Association's annual Carnegie Medal for Tulku and the City of Gold, once recognized as the best British children's book of the year. By 2020, he's one of eight writers to have won two Carnegies; no one has won three. He is also the praised runner Eva and four times the praised runner 2. Due to his contribution as a children's writer, Dickinson reached the final round for the Hans Christian Andersen Medal in 2000.
